Vaccinations & Immunizations

Childhood Immunizations

Clay County Health Department’s immunization program provides all childhood immunizations, Monday thru Friday by appointment. Certain immunizations are required by NC prior to children entering public school systems. Many colleges also require updated immunizations prior to entrance.

The Health Department utilizes the North Carolina Immunization Registry (NCIR). This is an electronic system of record keeping which is utilized state wide by the health departments. Upon completion of data entry, the parent may receive a printed shot record with the North Carolina State Seal as a water mark.
